The company is currently managed from Austria, so visitors from the European Union are covered by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in addition to applicable United States law.
What we collect
Server log files. Our hosting provider automatically records the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and the browser and operating system in use. This happens for every website and is necessary to deliver the page and to keep the server secure. These logs are not combined with other data and are deleted on our provider’s regular schedule.
Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and contact details in order to answer you and to document the exchange.
We do not use analytics or tracking services on this website, we do not set advertising cookies, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Map data
The map on our homepage loads its background tiles from CARTO, based on OpenStreetMap data. When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to that provider so the tiles can be delivered to your device. We have no influence over any further processing by that provider. If you do not want this, you can prevent it by blocking scripts for this site in your browser.
Cookies
This site runs on WordPress. No cookies are set for ordinary visitors. Cookies are only used for logged-in administrators of the site, and are strictly necessary for that purpose.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we process the data described above on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website and in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where you contact us with a view to entering into a business relationship, processing is also based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased or its processing restricted, to receive your data in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected].
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40 to 42, 1030 Vienna.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as statutory retention periods require. Email correspondence relating to a business relationship may be retained for the periods required by tax and commercial law.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever the way we handle data changes, for example if we add a contact form or an analytics tool. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
